Journey Together Card List: 10 Amazing Trainer Pokémon Chase Cards
The Journey Together card list marks the return of one of the most loved ideas in Pokémon TCG history: Trainer’s Pokémon. Released on 28 March 2025, Journey Together brought back cards that pair famous trainers with their partners, led by N, Lillie, Iono and Hop. The result is a 190-card set full of personality, with a Lillie’s Clefairy ex Special Illustration Rare that became one of the most charming chase cards of the year. This guide explains the full Journey Together card list, how the numbering works, which cards to chase and what to buy in Australia.
Journey Together followed the Eevee special set Prismatic Evolutions and came before Destined Rivals, which expanded the Trainer’s Pokémon idea even further with Team Rocket. Together, the two sets are a must for fans of trainer-themed cards.

What Trainer’s Pokémon are
Trainer’s Pokémon are cards that belong to a named character, such as N’s Zoroark ex or Iono’s Bellibolt ex. They first appeared in the Gym Heroes era, and fans had asked for their return for years. In Journey Together, each trainer has a full team, so you can collect N’s Zorua, N’s Darumaka and N’s Reshiram alongside N’s Zoroark ex, or follow Lillie’s Clefairy line from start to finish.
Many Trainer support cards only work with Pokémon from the same trainer, which encouraged players to build themed decks. That mix of story and gameplay is a big reason the set was so well received.
Each of the four lead trainers brings a different style. N’s cards lean into dark, dramatic artwork and his bond with the Unova legends. Lillie’s team is soft and gentle, built around Clefairy and Ribombee. Iono’s cards are bright and electric, matching her streamer personality, while Hop’s team celebrates his journey through Galar with Wooloo and Zacian. Choosing a favourite trainer is a great way to narrow down what to collect.
How the Journey Together card list is numbered
Cards numbered 001 to 159 are the main set, including the double rare Pokémon ex such as Lillie’s Clefairy ex at 056/159. Everything from 160 to 190 is a secret rare. The 31 secret rares fall into four clear blocks.
- 160 to 170: 11 Illustration Rares, including Articuno, Wailord, Iono’s Kilowattrel, Lillie’s Ribombee, N’s Reshiram and Hop’s Wooloo
- 171 to 181: 11 Ultra Rares, including full-art versions of the four Trainer’s Pokémon ex and Supporters such as Brock’s Scouting
- 182 to 187: 6 Special Illustration Rares
- 188 to 190: 3 gold Hyper Rares of Iono’s Bellibolt ex, N’s Zoroark ex and Spiky Energy
With only 31 secret rares, this is one of the more achievable sets of the era. The main set is large, but the secret range is compact enough to finish with a mix of packs and singles.
When you sort a big opening, split the Journey Together card list into three piles: main set Trainer’s Pokémon, other main set cards and secret rares. Trainer’s Pokémon are easy to spot because the trainer’s name appears in the card title, and keeping them together makes it much simpler to see which team members you still need.

Lillie’s Clefairy ex, the top card
Illustrated by Susumu Maeya, the Lillie’s Clefairy ex Special Illustration Rare shows Lillie relaxing in a wildflower meadow with her Clefairy. It is gentle rather than dramatic, and that warmth is exactly why collectors fell for it. It has been the most valuable card in the set for most of its run.
N’s Zoroark ex and Hop’s Zacian ex
N’s Zoroark ex is a favourite with both players and collectors, so it appears twice in the top ten as a Special Illustration Rare and a gold Hyper Rare. Hop’s Zacian ex has also climbed steadily, helped by Zacian’s popularity and Hop’s role in the Galar story.
Illustration Rares worth watching
Journey Together has some of the strongest Illustration Rares of the era. The Articuno card and the N’s Reshiram scene, which shows N riding Reshiram through a bright blue sky, both sell well above typical Illustration Rare prices.
Pull rates are not published officially, so treat any numbers you see online as community estimates. Across the Journey Together card list, each specific Special Illustration Rare is thought to turn up only once in several hundred packs, while Illustration Rares are far more common. A booster box usually gives a good spread of Illustration Rares and Ultra Rares, which is perfect for building a binder.
Journey Together for players
Trainer’s Pokémon gave players fresh deck ideas. N’s Zoroark ex became a strong attacker that rewarded building around N’s team, and Iono’s Bellibolt ex powered Lightning decks with Energy acceleration. Spiky Energy and Brock’s Scouting also saw play. If you are building a deck, collect the main set double rares, which play exactly like the expensive versions.
How to complete the Journey Together card list
- Open one booster box to complete much of the 159-card main set
- Use singles to finish the main set, especially the Trainer’s Pokémon you are missing
- Collect the 11 Illustration Rares, starting with Articuno and N’s Reshiram
- Trade duplicate Ultra Rares at local game nights
- Buy the Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares as singles once prices settle
A master set with reverse holos comes to well over 300 cards. Many collectors choose a themed goal instead, such as every card from one trainer’s team.

Protect your pulls from the start. Sleeve every Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare as soon as it comes out of the pack, then move it into a toploader or magnetic case. Store binders upright in a cool, dry room away from sunlight. If you are thinking about grading, check the centring and corners under good light first, because small flaws make a big difference to the final grade.
Keep a printed copy of the Journey Together card list with your binder. Ticking off each number as you go is the quickest way to know which singles to buy or trade for next.
