OP18 Guide: 7 Amazing Facts About The Dominance of God

OP18 is the next main booster for the One Piece Card Game. Its official English title is BOOSTER PACK –THE DOMINANCE OF GOD– [OP-18], and it releases in English on 20 November 2026, one day before the Japanese version.

This OP18 guide covers the release date, the story the set is built around, the Leaders revealed so far, what we know about the card list and how to prepare for OP18 in Australia. If you are new to the game, browse our One Piece cards to see the sets already available.

OP18 release date

  • ONE PIECE DAY ’26: OP18 was announced as the next main booster.
  • 20 November 2026: English release, according to Bandai’s official English product page.
  • 21 November 2026: Japanese release of ブースターパック「神の支配」.

Bandai’s English site also explains that new cards become legal for official events a week after release, so expect the new cards to reach tournament play in late November.

What is OP18 The Dominance of God about?

Bandai describes the set as being built around two themes: the Water Seven arc and the Holy Knights of God. Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock both make their One Piece Card Game debut here.

It is also the second of the game’s fourth-anniversary boosters. It follows OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors, which released in Japan in August 2026.

The Water Seven arc in a nutshell

Water Seven is one of the most loved stories in One Piece. The Straw Hat Pirates arrive at a city of shipwrights hoping to repair the Going Merry, only to learn the ship cannot be saved. Along the way they meet Franky, a cyborg shipwright, and clash with the secret government agents of CP9.

The story builds to the battle at Enies Lobby to rescue Nico Robin, and ends with Franky joining the crew and building the Thousand Sunny. It is packed with famous moments, which is why collectors are excited to see it return to the card game.

Who are the Holy Knights of God?

The Holy Knights of God are an elite group that serves the World Nobles at the heart of the World Government. They appear in recent chapters of the manga, and Saint Shamrock and Saint Gunko are two of their most striking members, so their arrival as cards gives players a brand-new group to build around.

OP18 leaders revealed so far

Leaders define how each deck plays, so they are the first cards players look for in a new set. Here is where the OP18 Leaders stand.

Confirmed in official reveals

  • Franky (Green/Purple): shown in official reveal images in August 2026. It is Franky’s first appearance as a Leader card, and a parallel version was also shown.
  • Saint Gunko: revealed in official images in both normal and parallel versions.

Reported by fan card-list trackers

Japanese card-list sites have also reported a Monkey D. Luffy Leader (Green), a Miss All Sunday Leader (Blue), a Red/Blue Leader and a Spandam Leader. Treat these as reported rather than confirmed until Bandai publishes the official OP18 card list, as some card numbers still conflict between sources.

OP18 card list: what we know

Bandai has said the set contains 127 card types plus one extra card. Only part of the list has been revealed so far, mostly through the official One Piece Card Game social channels.

  • Water Seven characters such as Nico Robin, Franky and Nefeltari Vivi.
  • Holy Knights of God cards led by Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock.
  • Supporting cards such as the Sea Cat character and the Mini Merry II stage.

Like recent boosters, it is expected to include Leaders, Commons, Uncommons, Rares, Super Rares, Secret Rares and alternate-art parallel versions. We will add the confirmed OP18 card list to this guide once Bandai publishes it.

How Leaders and decks work

Every One Piece Card Game deck is built around one Leader card. The Leader sets your deck colours and your starting life, and it can attack and use its own effect during the game. Alongside the Leader you play a 50-card main deck and a separate deck of 10 DON!! cards, which you use as resources to play cards and power up attacks.

Because the Leader decides so much, new Leaders often change which decks are popular. That is why players follow Leader reveals closely before a new set arrives.

If you are just starting out, a starter deck is the easiest way to learn these rules. It gives you a complete, ready-to-play deck with a Leader, so you can practise turns, attacks and DON!! cards before deciding which colours you enjoy. From there, booster packs help you improve the deck and add the cards you like most.

Tips for opening a new booster

  • Open packs on a clean surface and sleeve Leaders, Super Rares and Secret Rares straight away.
  • Keep parallel and alternate-art cards in top loaders, as their foil surfaces scratch easily.
  • Track what you open with a checklist so you know which cards to trade for.
  • If you are collecting sealed product, store boxes flat, dry and out of direct sunlight.

What is in an OP18 booster box?

Retailer listings for the English OP18 booster box show 24 packs per box, matching other main One Piece boosters. Bandai lists the English pack price at US$4.99, and the Japanese pack at ¥240 for six cards.

Australian prices are set by local distributors and stores, so they differ from the US and Japanese prices. Comparing packs per box is the easiest way to judge value between English and Japanese OP18 product.

How to prepare for OP18 in Australia

  • Watch for pre-orders: keep an eye on our pre-orders page and One Piece category for OP18 stock.
  • Decide on your language: English cards suit local play, while Japanese boxes appeal to many collectors.
  • Plan your Leader: if you play, pick the Leader you want to build around and track its support cards as they are revealed.
  • Know your rights: pre-orders can be cancelled before release for a full refund under our Refund and Returns Policy.

English or Japanese One Piece cards?

Both versions have their fans. English cards are the natural choice if you play at local events in Australia, because everyone can read the card text. Japanese boxes are popular with collectors for their artwork and presentation, and Japanese sets are often revealed and released first.

There is no wrong answer. Many collectors play with English cards and keep a Japanese box or two for display, while others focus on one language so their binder stays consistent.

Whichever language you choose, keep each one in its own binder so your collection stays easy to browse.

Collecting One Piece on a budget

  • Start with a starter deck to learn the game before buying booster boxes.
  • Buy singles for the exact Leader and key cards you need once prices settle after release.
  • Trade duplicates with friends or at your local store’s events.
  • Set a monthly budget and decide in advance whether you are opening, playing or collecting sealed product.

Our One Piece range includes starter decks, booster boxes and premium boosters, so there is an option for every budget.

OP18 vs OP-17: which box should you buy now?

If you want to open packs today, OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors is available now in English and Japanese. If your favourite characters are from Water Seven, or you want Franky and Saint Gunko as Leaders, it makes sense to wait for the new set.

Many collectors buy both: one box of the current set to open, and an OP18 pre-order for late November. Older sets such as OP-16 The Time of Battle and PRB-02 The Best Vol.2 are also worth a look while you wait.
