Perfect Order Card List: 10 Amazing Chase Cards and Easy Checklist

The Perfect Order card list is one of the most compact in the Mega Evolution era, and that is exactly why so many collectors love it. Released on 27 March 2026, Perfect Order is the third main expansion of the series. It brings Mega Zygarde ex to the Pokémon TCG along with three more Mega debuts and a Meowth ex that became one of the surprise chase cards of the year. This guide covers the full Perfect Order card list by rarity, explains the numbering, ranks the top ten chase cards and helps you choose the right products in Australia.

Perfect Order follows the record-breaking Ascended Heroes, so it can feel small by comparison. With 124 cards, it is a set you can realistically complete, which makes it a great entry point for new collectors.

How the Perfect Order card list is numbered

The main set runs from 001 to 088. It includes the commons, uncommons, rares and nine Pokémon ex, among them the four new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex plus Meowth ex, Yveltal ex and Salazzle ex. Cards numbered 089 and above are secret rares, and they fall into four neat blocks.

  • 089 to 099: 11 Illustration Rares, including the Clefairy that links to the Mega Clefable ex artwork
  • 100 to 117: 18 Ultra Rares, covering Pokémon ex and Trainer cards
  • 118 to 123: 6 Special Illustration Rares
  • 124: the Mega Zygarde ex Mega Hyper Rare, the final card in the Perfect Order card list

Booster packs came in four artworks featuring Mega Zygarde, Mega Clefable, Mega Starmie and Meowth. The pack art makes no difference to what is inside, so pick whichever design you like best.

The four Mega debuts each bring something different. Mega Clefable ex leans into the Psychic and Fairy fan base, Mega Starmie ex is a love-it-or-hate-it design that has grown on players, and Mega Skarmory ex gives Metal decks a sturdy new attacker. Together with Mega Zygarde ex, they make this a set built around brand-new Megas rather than returning favourites.

Every rarity in the Perfect Order card list

A quick count by rarity shows why this set is so approachable. With only 36 secret rares, the hardest part of the Perfect Order card list is a much smaller target than in most recent sets.

  • Main set: 88 cards, including 9 Pokémon ex
  • Illustration Rare: 11 cards
  • Ultra Rare: 18 cards
  • Special Illustration Rare: 6 cards
  • Mega Hyper Rare: 1 card

It is also worth knowing how a booster pack is put together. Each pack contains ten cards: a run of commons and uncommons, a reverse holo slot or two, and one rare-or-better slot. Illustration Rares, Ultra Rares and the higher rarities replace cards in those slots, which is why a single pack can hold more than one hit on a lucky day but often holds none at all.

Mega Zygarde ex, the set mascot

As with every main set of the era, the mascot received the gold Mega Hyper Rare treatment. Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 is the hardest pull in the set and has been the most valuable card for most of its run. The Special Illustration Rare version at 120/088 gives collectors a second, slightly more attainable way to own the mascot.

Why Meowth ex became a chase card

Few people expected a Meowth to compete with a legendary Mega, yet the Meowth ex Special Illustration Rare has stayed close to the top of the price rankings since release. It is a reminder that great artwork and a much-loved Pokémon can matter just as much as raw power. If you only open a few packs, Meowth ex is the card most people hope to see.

Connected artwork

The Clefairy Illustration Rare and the Mega Clefable ex Special Illustration Rare form a two-card scene. Placing them side by side is a fun mini goal, and it gives you a reason to collect both rarity tiers.

Grading is another question collectors ask about this set. Because the secret rare range is small, graded copies of the top cards appear quickly after release, and population reports fill up fast. If you plan to grade, inspect the centring and the surface before sending anything off, and only grade cards where the value of a high grade clearly covers the fees and postage from Australia.

Cards that matter for players

Mega Zygarde ex brought strong abilities to the Fighting type, and its strength-in-numbers theme made it a natural centrepiece for decks built around a full bench. Rosa’s Encouragement and other new Supporters also improved how players recover resources mid-game. If you play, collect the main set versions of the Pokémon ex in multiples, since they play exactly the same as the expensive chase versions.

Prerelease events are a fun way to start. Players receive a Build and Battle Box with a ready-made 40-card deck, one of four foil promo cards and four booster packs, then customise their deck with what they open. It is one of the best value ways to try a new set, and you keep every card you pull.

Local game stores across Australia run prereleases on the weekends before each launch, so ask your nearest store about their schedule for future sets.

How to finish the Perfect Order card list

  1. Complete the 88-card main set from your first booster box
  2. Add the 11 Illustration Rares, which are the most affordable secret rares
  3. Trade your duplicate Ultra Rares for the ones you are missing
  4. Buy the Special Illustration Rares as singles when prices settle
  5. Finish with the Mega Zygarde ex Mega Hyper Rare, the hardest card to find

A master set with reverse holos comes to around 200 cards, which fits comfortably in a 9-pocket binder with room to spare.

Storage is simple for a set this size. Keep the main set in a 9-pocket binder, put your Special Illustration Rares in toploaders or magnetic cases, and store everything upright in a cool, dry room. Avoid rubber bands and loose stacks, which bend corners and scuff surfaces over time.
